In winter, the center of tourist activity moves to Jakuszyce, considered the capital of Polish cross-country skiing. An extensive network of professionally prepared trails attracts thousands of amateurs and professionals each year. The routes of the Bieg Piastów, the biggest cross-country skiing event in Poland, have gained special renown.
